About

Set up in April 2016, A Life In Orange, is a blog that views Motorsport through the eyes of a Marshal.

The website looks at many elements of the Motorsport world, from Club Racing, to standing on the grid at the World Endurance Championship to marshalling the United States Grand Prix in Formula One.

It also explores the journey that a marshal has from their First Day on the Bank, then onto upgrading and then what it’s like to be a Post Chief. There are other elements to explore, as you can find out what it is like to do different roles at the race track, for example being in the Assembly area at the Goodwood Revival.

It will also encourage you to get involved with the sport itself, and offers you an unique insight into the life of a marshal, and provides links so if you want to get involved and join the 9,500+, marshals and officials, then you can.

The website will also be looking for the true characters of the marshalling world, so whether that is a 90 year-old marshal, yes 90, who is still out on the bank enjoying the sport as if it is the first day, or someone you think are worth a mention then you can read about it here or write about it.

Finally, if you are wondering what it is like to marshal at a certain racetrack, then hopefully there will be a section you can explore that will allow you to find out just that.

So go get exploring and enjoy your stay at A Life In Orange.
